Alexandra Vincent joined Magdalena Law Group in 2017 after graduating early and cum laude from the University of New Mexico School of Law in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was the recipient of the 2017 Atkinson & Kelsey Excellence in Family Law Award.
During law school, Alex focused her work on family and children’s issues. She was a fellow with the Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project where she taught students in underprivileged schools about their rights and self-advocacy. She also co-coached the New Mexico Marshall-Brennan High School Moot Court Team to nationals in Washington, D.C. in 2016. As a student attorney in her school’s Law Practice Clinic, Alex defended juvenile offenders as a part of the Juvenile Justice Project.
Alex also spent time working with family violence and human trafficking as a clerk at the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of New Mexico and later as a post-bar clerk in family violence and misdemeanors at the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office.
Prior to attending law school, Alex served six years in the United States Navy as a chemistry and radiological controls technician for the nuclear reactor plant onboard the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Nimitz. She received multiple commendations and a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal during her service during deployment to the Persian Gulf. She later received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington.
When she isn’t at the office, Alex can be found riding horses, hiking, traveling, and brewing beer with her fiancé.
