Magdalena is a Certified Family Law Specialist by The State Bar Of California
Board of Legal Specialization. Magdalena handles all aspects of family law:
divorce, legal separation, establishing or disputing parental relationship, negotiating
child custody and visitation arrangements, screenings and evaluations,
child support, spousal support, property division, domestic violence restraining
orders, move away orders, and registration of foreign support judgments,
to name a few. Magdalena works hand-in-hand with her clients, starting
with the initial consultation, appearing in court, and either settling
the case or going to trial. Where necessary and justified, she also files appeals.
Family law disputes can be emotionally draining. Magdalena firmly believes that the value of a case is measured not just by how much money the parties are fighting for but also the impact the prolonged litigation will have on their lives. As a certified mediator, Magdalena has been taught how to negotiate settlements and help parties move forward with their lives.
Magdalena truly enjoys working with people, and does everything she can to help her clients achieve the best results for their cases. No matter how big or small your problem is, Magdalena will listen and work hard to advocate in your best interest, to get your case resolved efficiently.
Magdalena has most recently passed the October 2015 Legal Specialization Examination in Family Law and is currently working on fulfilling other requirements to become a Certified Family Law Specialist. Magdalena has been honored with numerous awards, including 2016 and 2015 Super Lawyers Rising Star, 2015 The National Association of Distinguished Counsel's Nation's Top One Percent, and 2015 and 2014 Avvo Client's Choice Award. While in law school, Magdalena received the Academic Achievement Award, Public Service Society Award, and was included on the Dean’s Honor List. Additionally, Magdalena was a judicial extern to the Honorable Mitchell Dembin of the United States District Court for the Southern District of California, a mediator, and a child advocate. Magdalena's passion for community service continues; each year she donates over 100 hours of her time to help people who otherwise would not be able to afford an attorney. Magdalena has held leadership positions with the American Bar Association and graduated from the Barristers' Leadership Program with the Santa Clara County Bar Association.
Before going to law school, Magdalena taught English as a Second Language and was a teacher trainer in Poland. In her free time, Magdalena enjoys yoga, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
